Meet Our
Teachers
We are a community operated kindergarten that welcomes and encourages family participation and involvement in our program.
Our vision is for all children to experience play-based learning that is engaging and builds success for life. Play is the work of the child (Maria Montessori). Our teachers guide children’s play experiences by carefully designing learning experiences and activities exploring the foundations of the Early Years Learning Development Framework.

I am a creative soul and enjoy helping children to find what they love at kindergarten and uncover their unique personalities. As a mum of a teenage boy I am reminded every day how special this time is and how quickly children grow. Our team value the time spent with your children and make every moment count.

Koala Activity Group leader 4YO
In 2013 I started with Brighton Baptist Kindergarten as was given the opportunity to lead the 3yo program. It wasn’t long before I realised my heart was in teaching and so began my journey back to university to qualify as a teacher. For many children, 3yo kindergarten is the first time they have been away from their mum. With that in mind, my job is to ensure all children feel safe and secure as they experience this first taste of lifelong learning. We giggle, we sing and we get really messy! Memories are created and friends are made. It’s all in a day’s work at 3 year kindergarten – how could anyone not love this job!

Whether it be music, games or obstacle courses I encourage children to get active, try new games and build their social skills. I play with the children in an effort to develop their coordination and sense of self. I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity to teach this highly valued perceptual motor program at Brighton Baptist Kindergarten since 2003.
